Watch Party: Mike's Vlog Studio Comedy

Mike drops his first CEO vlog. The team watches it together. Marty has notes. 5 scenes, 1:15.

Sally's Idea

Why this film

Mike made a vlog. He worked on it for a week. He filmed himself at 6 AM with a green juice and a whiteboard, and he is so proud of it, and honestly? He should be. Nobody else could have made exactly that video.

So we did what friends do. We put it on the big TV, we made snacks, and we watched the whole thing together. Marty said some things. Then Mike walked in, and Mike loved it most of all.

That is the whole movie. A man who cannot be embarrassed, and the friends who would never actually want him to be.

The Vlog

0:00 - 0:15

MIKE (to camera, dead serious): "It is 6 AM. Winners are already up. This is my green juice. And this, this is synergy."

Fullscreen vlog. Mike in selfie mode, green juice raised like a trophy, pointing at a whiteboard that says one word: SYNERGY. He nods at his own advice for a full nine seconds. He is SO proud of this.

The Zoom Out

0:15 - 0:30

DINESH (whispering, not looking away): "...Is he still nodding?"

The camera pulls back and the vlog is just a video on a TV. Marty, Sally, Dinesh, and Chadwick sit frozen on the couch, snacks untouched, watching in total stunned silence. Nobody wants to be the first to say anything.
Scene 3

The Roast

0:30 - 0:50

MARTY (grabbing the remote): "Pause it. Pause it. He filmed himself nodding. At HIMSELF." SALLY (laughing, hand up): "He worked really hard on it!"

Marty loses it first and it sets everyone off. He pauses the video and roasts it line by line while the room falls apart. Sally is crying laughing and defending Mike at the same time, which only makes it funnier.
Scene 4

Mike Arrives

0:50 - 1:05

MIKE (walking in with popcorn, lighting up): "Oh, you are watching it? Pretty good, right? Wait until the synergy part."

Mike walks in with a giant bowl of popcorn, sees his own face on the TV, and beams like it is his birthday. He squeezes onto the couch to watch it with them, completely oblivious. Marty turns and looks straight at the camera, a man who cannot believe this person is real.

The Post

1:05 - 1:15

MIKE (leaning over Marty's phone, reading the roast, nodding approvingly): "Great engagement." MARTY (to camera): "...He is real. I checked."

Scene 5
Close on Marty's phone as he types the roast post, thumbs flying. Mike leans in, reads every word, and gives it a sincere nod of approval. Marty posts it anyway. Credits energy.
